Hello dear hearts
I’m trying to establish a better schedule for myself between posting on my blog, my Instagram, and here. But alas, cannot figure out the perfect schedule. Even though I know each season, each change, each cycle of life will make a new schedule.
I guess I need help with this particular season.
So before getting to the Ten Things, I have a poll - which day should I publish this Substack? I keep going back and forth on keeping it Sunday and making it sometime during the week. But alas. I cannot decide.
1. Ginger chews for nausea is the Best. Followed by crackers, tea, and toast with butter.
2. The urge to purge everything and start over.
3. The Wee One didn’t go to bed until 5 AM - thanks Full Moon lolsob. But it’s really okay, our household keeps odd hours and we all have different hours that we are all “functioning”. I love it and I love us.
4. This Instagram series of slides on accountability. Read the caption too.
5. Drinking yesterday’s coffee like I’m a hungover, broke private investigator who sleeps on their office couch, and keeps a spare set of clothes to trick their clients that they have their shit together. (I may or may not have a an idea for a book about this, but I HAVE made a flash fic about it.)
6. Thinking about the several different subgenres of fantasy and maybe I can actually write fantasy. Just have to find the right subgenre for me.
7. Ugh. iOS updates.
8. Currently reading winter/Christmas mysteries and thrillers. First week of December was queer holiday romances. Right now it’s a Nordic Noir and then I have a couple of cozy mysteries as well.
9. Caffeine headaches are the worst, because you can’t fix them unless you in fact drink more caffeine. Caffeine pills do NOTHING for me. Lolsob.
10. I wonder if I will stick to my TBR pile next year? Hey, don’t laugh. I might.
Now back to my coffee and my current read, I’m digging it so far. Let me know what books you tend to read in December, I am intrigued!
Until next time,
-A
I usually read a couple holiday romances in between darker books. I think winter brings out the moodiness in me
